Power BI — many files from Data Lake

A short story. You want to import a few files present in a Data Lake into Power BI.

In this example the Data Lake contains three files.

The first step is to select a source type. Folder in this case.

You can load all the files directly or by choosing a Combine & Load/Transform Data option.

All the files will be imported.

File references are inside a Power BI report. You can go back to the first step in a Power Query editor. You can notice that we have only files at this stage, no records. But, you can expand all the documents in an easy way.

Files have been expanded to rows.
